The residents of Wellington’s Buena Vida community were finally able to set foot and swing paddles at the newly renovated pickleball courts on Saturday, Nov. 19. The ribbon cutting took place early in the morning, with exhibition games by local professionals, followed by guests in attendance jumping right in to play. “It’s not just the really good pickleball players who are going to have a nice time here. It’s the folks who are just beginning and learning the game,” Board Director Brad Evans said. “And even if they’re not all that good, they’ve got a wonderful smile on their face, and they are enjoying activities they’ve never enjoyed before.”
