Jacobs Named A Certified District Official

The Florida Association of Special Districts held its annual conference in Estero, Fla., June 4-8 and presented Indian Trail Improvement District Vice President Carol Jacobs with the Certified District Official (CDO) designation as part of their annual graduating class.

The Certified District Officials (CDO) Program is offered through FASD and is open to all elected officials from special districts in Florida. The CDO designation requires the completion of 32 hours of training in contract management, strategic planning, board relations with district manager and staff, public relations, intergovernmental affairs/agreements, financial management and audits, the legislative process, and election, ethics and sunshine law.

In addition to her role on the ITID Board of Supervisors, Jacobs operates C&R of Palm Beach Land Development in The Acreage. She has served as chair of the American Cancer Society’s Acreage/Loxahatchee Relay for Life, member of the Acreage Landowners’ Association and president of the Acreage Horseman’s Association, as well as other organizations serving The Acreage and the western communities.

Jacobs participated in the FASD Certified District Official program along with other elected officials and attended the Florida Association of Special Districts meetings throughout the year.
