Struggling with the pain of separation and divorce? DivorceCare is a friendly, caring group of people who will provide support through one of life’s most difficult experiences.
The weekly seminar and support group is led by Lori Oberacker, a therapist with the Community Christian Counseling Centers.
DivorceCare will be held at St. Peter’s United Methodist Church (12200 W. Forest Hill Blvd., Wellington) beginning Monday, Sept. 9 at 7 p.m. for 13 weeks.. The Building Better Moms (BBM) group begins Thursday, Sept. 12 at 9:15 a.m. Learn how to be better equipped as a parent through speakers, discussion and a supportive network of moms.
BBM strives to build a community of moms who learn, grow and serve together. Members meet in a large-group setting, but are connected with a small group of moms with whom they share a table at each meeting.
BBM also meets at St. Peter’s on Thursdays from 9:15 to 11:15 a.m. Dates for 2013-14 are: Sept. 12 and 26; Oct. 10 and 24; Nov. 7 and 21; Jan. 9 and 23; Feb. 6 and 20; March 6; and April 3.
Participants will enjoy refreshments, fellowship, speakers and group discussion.
The registration fee for BBM is $35. Childcare is available on a limited, first-come, first-served basis for ages 2 and up, and the cost is $20 per child.
