Can Jews and Muslims get along? And where are the moderate Muslims? These are issues to be discussed as Congregation L’Dor Va-Dor continues Rabbi Barry Silver’s monthly controversial issues series.
Come to the Palm Beach School for Autism at 8480 Lantana Road in Lantana on Wednesday, Aug. 21 at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
Silver has invited Dr. Khalid Minhas as the guest speaker. Minhas is director of public affairs for the Achmadiyyah Muslim community of Hollywood. Achmadiyyah is a peaceful movement of moderate Muslims within Islam. Other guests from the group will also attend.
Everyone is encouraged to attend, to voice their opinions and contribute in a calm dialogue concerning these vitally important issues.
Congregation L’Dor Va-Dor will have its annual interfaith dialogue at High Holy Day services on Yom Kippur, Saturday, Sept. 14 at 1 p.m. at the Santaluces High School auditorium.
The congregation welcomes all people of all backgrounds, including Islam, to participate in this free event.
