SEPT. 14 — A deputy from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office substation in Royal Palm Beach was called to a sports bar on Belvedere Road last Saturday evening following a stabbing. According to a PBSO report, four men got in a verbal altercation and a fight ensued. One of the men was knocked unconscious, and the other drew a knife from his pocket and used it to protect himself. According to the report, the other two men repeatedly charged at the victim with bar stools. One of the men sustained a stab wound to his chest and shoulder, resulting in a punctured lung. The other man received a laceration on his abdomen. The victim who was knocked unconscious sustained a skull fracture and bleeding in the brain. He was transported to Delray Community Hospital where he was listed in critical condition at the time of the report. No arrests had been made, and there was no further information available at the time of the report.
SEPT. 11 — A woman was arrested early last Wednesday morning on drug charges. According to a PBSO report, a deputy from the Royal Palm Beach substation was dispatched to a hotel on Royal Palm Beach Blvd. at approximately 3 a.m. regarding a suspicious incident. According to a PBSO report, the deputy received a tip that someone was using drugs in one of the rooms. According to the report, the deputy made contact with the room’s occupant, 20-year-old Jacklyn Rathof, who was found to be in possession of syringes and Dilaudid, an opiate. Rathof was arrested and taken to the Palm Beach County Jail, where she was charged with possession of a schedule II substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
SEPT. 14 — A resident of the 12th Fairway called the PBSO substation in Wellington last Saturday to report a vehicle burglary. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 11 a.m. last Friday and 8 a.m. the following morning, someone entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole an iPhone 4s and an iPod from the inner console. The stolen items were valued at $650. DNA evidence was taken at the scene, but there were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.
SEPT. 15 — Two residents of Oakmont Estates called the PBSO substation in Wellington last weekend regarding vehicle burglaries. According to two separate PBSO reports, the victims discovered their vehicles had been ransacked over the weekend. According to the first PBSO report, sometime between 7 p.m. last Friday and 5 p.m. last Sunday, someone entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle through the driver’s side door and rummaged through the center console and glove compartment, but nothing was taken. There were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report. In a second PBSO report, sometime between 5 p.m. last Saturday and 1:30 p.m. the following afternoon, someone entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and ransacked it. The perpetrator(s) stole a black garage door opener valued at approximately $75. There were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.
SEPT. 16 — Two Royal Palm Beach men were arrested early Monday morning following a traffic stop near the intersection of Okeechobee Blvd. and Wildcat Way. According to a PBSO report, a deputy from the Royal Palm Beach substation pulled over a silver Mercedes CLK for speeding. The deputy made contact with the driver, 34-year-old Craig Williamson. According to the report, Williamson gave the deputy a false name. Additionally, the passenger, 21-year-old Christopher Lawrence, was found in possession of two guns, one of which was stolen. According to the report, he was also found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Both men were arrested and taken to the county jail. Williamson was charged with providing a false name. Lawrence was charged with carrying a concealed firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of marijuana under 20 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.
SEPT 16 — A deputy from the PBSO’s Acreage/Loxahatchee substation was called Monday morning to a home on 63rd Lane North regarding a case of vandalism. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 7 p.m. last Sunday and 9 a.m. the following morning, someone broke the victim’s mailbox off its post, pulled the door of the mailbox off and bent it. The victim said no other mailboxes on her street were damaged. According to the report, the victim said her dog barked last Sunday night at approximately 10 p.m., but she didn’t investigate the reason. The victim said her mailbox had been vandalized in the past with fireworks. According to the report, the victim has been having some problems with a neighbor, but she was not sure who damaged the mailbox. The mailbox was valued at approximately $25. There was no further information available at the time of the report.
SEPT. 16 — A West Palm Beach woman was arrested Monday on shoplifting charges after she was caught stealing from the Beall’s department store on Southern Blvd. According to a PBSO report, a deputy from the Royal Palm Beach substation was dispatched to the store after a loss-prevention officer observed 48-year-old Pamela Rayburn select two pairs of Nike sneakers from a display shelf and place them in her purse. According to the officer, Rayburn then passed all cash registers and exited the store, making no attempt to pay for the items. According to the PBSO report, the officer stopped Rayburn outside the store and recovered the sneakers, valued at $140. Rayburn was arrested and issued a notice to appear in court.
SEPT. 16 — A resident of North Palm Beach called the PBSO’s Acreage/Loxahatchee substation Monday to report a stolen vehicle. According to a PBSO report, the victim left his green 1997 Ford F-350 at the intersection of Temple and Apache boulevards with a for sale sign at approximately 1:30 p.m. last Friday. The victim became suspicious when he did not receive any phone calls about the truck, and went to check on it. According to the report, when he returned at approximately 5 p.m. Monday, the truck was missing. There were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.
