Equestrian Trails Elementary School first-grade teacher Lindsay Leventhal has been incubating, hatching and raising chickens in her classrooms for years now, and each year, a new set of curious first-graders get to witness the hatching process.
Last week, four chicks were hatched in Leventhal’s Wellington classroom. Her students, along with other students from the school, had the opportunity to watch the chicks hatch and break out of their egg shells.
It was an exciting and educational process that the students enjoyed.
