The Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Palm Beach County (HMHB) recently announced that Lauren Whetstone will serve as its new board chair. She will help lead the organization as it enters its 35th year of serving pregnant women and families countywide.

Whetstone is a litigation shareholder in the West Palm Beach office of Greenberg Traurig. She received bachelor’s degrees in finance and public relations from the University of Florida, as well as a law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Whetstone focuses her practice in the areas of complex commercial litigation and securities litigation. She has broad experience representing domestic and international clients in state and federal courts, as well as before the American Arbitration Association and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

Along with her service to HMHB, Whetstone sits on the Palm Beach County Criminal Justice Commission and is a chair of the Emerging Leaders Program of the Economic Council of Palm Beach County.

Whetstone has dedicated three years to supporting women, mothers and strengthening families in the community on the HMHB Board of Directors.

“We’ve had fantastic leadership from Ginny Prystawski of Wells Fargo over the last two years as board chair. We are so excited to have Lauren continue the drive as we begin our five-year strategic plan. Her educational and career background paired with her leadership style will lend itself perfectly to help us reach our goals,” HMHB CEO Michelle Gonzalez said.
