Girl Scouts Hosts The 10th Annual Thin Mint Sprint 5K At Okeeheelee

Members of Troop 24232 from Wellington enjoyed the fresh air and fun at the 10th annual Thin Mint Sprint.

Local residents raced for the cookies on Saturday, March 6 during the 10th annual Thin Mint Sprint 5K hosted by the Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida at Okeeheelee Park.

With a box of Thin Mints waiting for them at the finish line, the overall winner was Jaclynn Green from Boca Raton with a fast time of 20:48 minutes. For the under 8 crowd, there was also a Tagalong Trot 100-yard dash.

With safety protocols in place, GSSEF hosted more than 170 in-person runners and 80 virtual participants as a way to promote healthy living, one of the four pillars of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.
