Cypress Trails Elementary School students participated in “International Walk to School Day” on Wednesday, Oct. 8. More than 150 students and their parents participated by walking or biking to school. The purpose of the event is to encourage healthy and safe walking for students who live close to school. This event was a follow-up activity to the pedestrian safety course taught in physical education. All students who participated received a Walk to School sticker, a bottle of water and a gift from the sponsors, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Safe Kids Palm Beach County and the Children’s Services Council.
