JUNE 18 — A deputy from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office substation in Royal Palm Beach was dispatched to a home in Counterpoint Estates on Monday evening regarding a residential burglary. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 7 a.m. and 9:15 a.m., someone entered the victim’s home and stole approximately $2,530 in jewelry. According to the report, the victim believes that the perpetrator(s) made entry to the home through a broken garage door. There were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.
JUNE 19 — A resident of Counterpoint Estates contacted the PBSO substation in Royal Palm Beach Tuesday evening to report a residential burglary. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 1:30 and 5:30 p.m., someone stole an Xbox gaming console and several video games from the home. According to the report, the victim said it’s possible he left the rear doors open. There were no signs of forced entry. The stolen items were valued at approximately $900. DNA evidence was taken at the scene, but there were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.
JUNE 14 — A Royal Palm Beach man was arrested last Thursday on felony charges of fleeing from a deputy following a chase through Royal Palm Beach. According to a PBSO report, a deputy from the Royal Palm Beach substation was on patrol in La Mancha last Wednesday when he observed a black Suzuki motorcycle traveling along Ponce De Leon Street at a high rate of speed. According to the report, the driver was described as a heavyset black male wearing a backpack and helmet. The deputy followed the motorcycle and observed it turn west onto Okeechobee Blvd. without stopping at the red light. According to the report, the deputy initiated a traffic stop, but the motorcyclist accelerated away at a high rate of speed. The deputy attempted to keep up, traveling approximately 70 miles per hour in a 40-mph zone. However, the motorcycle turned north onto Royal Palm Beach Blvd., cutting off several cars and running a red light to speed away. The deputy again was on patrol last Thursday afternoon when he observed the same motorcycle traveling north on Crestwood Blvd., driven by the same suspect. According to the report, the deputy followed the motorcycle as it pulled into the Village Royale shopping plaza and pulled in front of the vehicle. According to the report, the deputy made contact with the driver, 32-year-old Rodney King. The deputy said that King attempted to walk his motorcycle backward as if to flee, but complied with the deputy’s verbal commands to stop. King was arrested and taken to the Palm Beach County Jail, where he was charged with fleeing and eluding an officer at a high rate of speed.
JUNE 14 — A resident of Royal Ascot Estates called the PBSO’s Acreage/Loxahatchee substation last Thursday afternoon regarding a theft. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 1:15 and 1:30 p.m., someone stole the victim’s propane tank and four orange nylon tie-down strips. According to the report, a neighbor said that at approximately 1:15 p.m., a light blue Chevy suburban with a silver stripe dropped off an unknown white male at the corner of 168th Terrace North and West Duran Blvd. The male walked to the victim’s front door and returned carrying an unknown orange object. According to the report, the neighbor confronted the suspect and asked him what he was doing; however, a crème-colored truck driven by a heavy-set white male drove up at that time. According to the neighbor, the suspect got in the vehicle and fled the area. The suspect was described as a white male approximately 18 years old, wearing a blue T-shirt and crème-colored shorts. The stolen items were valued at approximately $75. There was no further information at the time of the report.
JUNE 15 — A West Palm Beach man was arrested early last Friday morning on drug charges following a traffic stop near the intersection of Wellington Trace and Forest Hill Blvd. According to a PBSO report, a deputy from the Wellington substation was conducting a traffic stop on Forest Hill Blvd. near Stribling Way at approximately 1:10 a.m. when a white Monte Carlo traveling at a high rate of speed passed his car, nearly hitting it. A second deputy observed the car traveling on Forest Hill Blvd. and initiated a traffic stop near Wellington Trace. According to the report, the deputy made contact with the driver, 20-year-old Errick Roberts III. The deputy said that he was able to smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and observed what appeared to be a marijuana cigarette rolled in tobacco paper under the driver’s seat. According to the report, the deputy voiced his concern, and Roberts admitted that there were two bags of marijuana behind the driver’s seat. A search of the vehicle revealed the bags along with the cigarette. Roberts was issued a citation for failure to move over for a police vehicle and a notice to appear in court.
JUNE 15 — A resident of the Isles at Wellington contacted the PBSO substation in Wellington last Friday morning regarding a vehicle burglary. According to the report, sometime between 6:30 p.m. last Thursday and 9 a.m. the following morning, someone entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole a 15-inch Dell laptop computer and $10 cash. The stolen items were valued at approximately $2,500. DNA evidence was taken at the scene, but there were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.
JUNE 15 — A deputy from the PBSO substation in Wellington was dispatched to a home on Hyacinth Place last Friday morning regarding a theft. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 2 and 10 a.m., someone removed a blue Megan bike from the victim’s porch. The stolen bike was valued at approximately $100.
JUNE 16 — A deputy from the PBSO substation in Royal Palm Beach responded to a home on Shoma Drive last Saturday evening regarding a burglary. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., someone entered the victim’s home through the east window and stole a 42-inch television, a PlayStation 3, an HP laptop computer, several pieces of jewelry and a medium-sized safe containing $3,000 cash, passports for the family, banking information and more. DNA evidence was taken at the scene, but there were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.
JUNE 18 — A resident of Hamlin Blvd. called the PBSO’s Acreage/Loxahatchee substation Monday afternoon to report a theft. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 4 p.m. last Sunday and 3:55 p.m. the following afternoon, someone entered the victim’s bedroom and stole an Xbox game console. The stolen item was valued at approximately $450. There were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.
