The Seminole Ridge High School Speech & Debate Team competed Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 11 and 12 at the Sunvitational National Tournament.
“After two harrowing days of intense competition, we had a number of students perform remarkably well,” coach Mierka Drucker said.
Jaqueline Campos broke to semi-finals, placing in the top 12 out of 100 in dramatic performance; Landen Fresch and Erika Thompson placed 35th with a record of 3-3 in public forum; and Wayne Selogy made it to finals and ‘Super-Congress,’ placing fourth overall in legislative assembly.
