I thought I would write a quick note as a response to last week’s letter, which expressed the opinion that Wellington needs to hire a new tennis center operator (“Wellington Needs To Hire A1A Tennis”).
As a longtime Wellington resident and tennis player, I must express the exact opposite opinion. The center is currently the best tennis facility I have ever had the pleasure to play at. The village and its staff should be commended for the incredible way this facility is managed. The mens and ladies leagues are excellent. The courts are maintained and looked better than any club I have ever seen, including many that are much more expensive to join.
I am extremely proud to call Wellington my home, and extremely proud of the tennis center, its staff and all those with the village who make it possible.
