Car Burglaries Near Area Fitness Centers

DEC. 30 — A deputy from the PBSO’s Wellington substation was called to a fitness business on State Road 7 last Wednesday morning regarding a vehicle burglary. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 5:30 and 6:30 a.m. last Wednesday, someone broke the window of the victim’s Infiniti SUV and stole a Michael Kors purse, valued at $400, a PNC debit card and two Visa gift cards.

DEC. 30 — A deputy from the PBSO’s Wellington substation was called to a parking lot in the Pointe at Wellington Green shopping plaza last Wednesday morning regarding a vehicle burglary. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 7:15 and 7:50 a.m. last Wednesday, while the victim was in a nearby fitness facility, someone broke the passenger side window of the victim’s 2013 Audi SUV and removed her Marc Jacobs purse with a Kate Spade wallet, three debit cards, an insurance card, $400 in cash, work keys and a passport. An Apple iPad mini was left charging on top of the purse and was not stolen.

DEC. 30 — A deputy from the PBSO’s Wellington substation was contacted by a resident of Sugar Pond Manor last Wednesday regarding a theft. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 2 and 3 p.m. last Wednesday, someone stole the victim’s Apple iPad Air, valued at $650. According to the report, when the victim was eating at a restaurant on Wellington Trace, he placed his iPad Air behind him and left it when he finished his meal. He returned to look for it about an hour later, but it was missing. According to the report, the victim used a locating program to lock the iPad, which had been renamed.

DEC. 30 — A deputy from the PBSO’s Wellington substation was called to the Isla Verde shopping plaza on State Road 7 last Wednesday regarding a vehicle burglary. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 8 and 10 p.m. last Wednesday, someone entered the victim’s 2010 Chevrolet Silverado by breaking the passenger side window. According to the report, someone stole the victim’s tote bag, containing two Bank of America credit cards and a Coach purse, gift cards and $500 in cash. According to the report, Bank of America notified the victim that one of her credit cards was used at a Royal Palm Beach gas station for a $35 charge at 8:36 p.m. DNA evidence was gathered from the vehicle.

DEC. 31 — A deputy from the PBSO’s Wellington substation was called to a home on Wood Dale Drive in the Hidden Pines community last Thursday morning regarding a vehicle burglary. According to a PBSO report, sometime just after midnight on Dec. 31, two unknown white males, approximately 20 to 25 years old, stole a Bostitch staple gun, a nail gun, two tool boxes, hand tools, and two 5-gallon gas containers, together valued at $750, from the victim’s 1989 Dodge Ram truck. According to the report, a neighbor saw the theft and notified the victim.

DEC. 31 — A deputy from the PBSO’s Royal Palm Beach substation was contacted by a resident of Strathmore Gate East last Thursday regarding a case of fraud. According to a PBSO report, when the victim checked her checking account online, she discovered that two checks were cashed for $1,989. According to the report, the victim’s account was closed and her bank’s fraud department has begun an internal investigation.

DEC. 31 — A deputy from the PBSO’s Royal Palm Beach substation was called to Indian Head Circle in the Strathmore Gate West community last Thursday afternoon regarding a vehicle burglary. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 12:45 and 2 p.m., someone entered the victim’s 2014 Isuzu truck and stole three Husqvarna backpack blowers, together valued at $1,500.

DEC. 31 — A deputy from the PBSO’s Royal Palm Beach substation was called to a home on Las Palmas Street in the La Mancha neighborhood last Thursday afternoon regarding a theft. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 3:30 p.m. last Wednesday and 5:30 p.m. last Thursday, someone stole a Rigid chop saw valued at $1,000 and a DeWalt compressor valued at $500 from the vacant home. According to the report, someone entered the home through an unlocked window. A neighbor noticed a dark Lincoln SUV leaving the driveway of the home between 5 and 5:30 p.m. last Wednesday.

DEC. 31 — A deputy from the PBSO’s Wellington substation was called to Periwinkle Place in the Sugar Pond Manor community last Thursday regarding a case of vandalism. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 5 and 8:20 p.m. last Thursday, someone shot an arrow up in the air, which came down through a patio screen and landed in a pool. The arrow was retrieved and taken into evidence.

DEC. 31 — A deputy from the PBSO’s Wellington substation was called to Long Meadow Drive in the Palm Beach Polo community last Thursday regarding a vehicle burglary. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 8 p.m. and midnight last Wednesday, someone entered the victim’s 2007 Honda Odyssey and 2012 Lexus LS450, both of which were unlocked, and stole a $300 pair of prescription sunglasses and $20 in cash.

JAN. 2 — A deputy from the PBSO’s Wellington substation was called to a home on Olde Hampton Drive in the Grand Prix Farms community last Saturday regarding a theft. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 5:25 p.m. last Thursday and 8:40 a.m. last Saturday, someone stole the victim’s dirt bike, valued at $6,500.

JAN. 2 — A deputy from the PBSO’s Royal Palm Beach substation was called to the Carrabba’s Italian Grill restaurant on Southern Blvd. last Saturday morning regarding the delayed report of a vehicle burglary. According to a PBSO report, on Dec. 31, between 7 and 9:15 p.m., someone stole a Whirl-A-Way pressure cleaner and Yeti cooler, along with a paint sprayer and digital camera, from the victim’s 2006 Ford F-150.

JAN. 2 — A deputy from the PBSO’s Royal Palm Beach substation was called to a home on Grandview Circle in the Counterpoint Estates community last Saturday regarding a theft. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 3 and 11 a.m. last Saturday, someone stole a Husky toolbox with a number of tools from the back of the victim’s 2001 Chevrolet Silverado. The stolen items were valued at approximately $955.

JAN. 2 — A deputy from the PBSO’s Wellington substation was contacted by a West Palm Beach resident last Saturday afternoon regarding a theft. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 3 and 3:35 p.m. last Saturday, while the victim was shopping in the Spencer’s Gifts store at the Mall at Wellington Green, she put her phone on a stack of shirts while trying on a shirt, and when she returned, her Apple iPhone 5S was gone.

JAN. 2 — A deputy from the PBSO’s Royal Palm Beach substation was called to Regal Cinemas on State Road 7 last Saturday afternoon regarding a stolen vehicle. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 3:30 and 5:35 p.m. last Saturday, someone stole the victim’s 2013 Fiat 500 Abarth.

JAN. 2 — A deputy from the PBSO’s Wellington substation was called to a farm at the southern end of South Shore Blvd. last Saturday evening regarding a theft. According to a PBSO report, sometime on Tuesday, Dec. 29, between 8 a.m. and 11:50 p.m., someone stole three Honda dirt bikes, together valued at more than $6,500, from the victim’s property.

JAN. 3 — A deputy from the PBSO’s Royal Palm Beach substation was called Sunday morning to a home on Balsam Drive regarding a residential burglary. According to a PBSO report, sometime between Dec. 31 at 3 p.m. and Jan. 3 at 10 a.m., someone entered the victim’s unlocked shed and stole a men’s bicycle valued at $300 and a Pro Line remote-controlled truck valued at $300.

JAN. 4 — A deputy from the PBSO’s Royal Palm Beach substation was contacted Monday morning by a resident of Princess Court regarding a case of fraud. According to the report, when the victim checked his Credit Union of Palm Beach County account, he noticed three suspicious transactions for approximately $60 on Jan. 1, Jan. 2 and Jan. 3 at a gas station in Maryland.
