New Horizons Elementary School fourth-graders recently presented their annual math musical “Lions and Kings of Our Math,” an original piece created by music teacher Veronica Dillingham and fourth-grade math teacher Cheryl Lay. Students dressed in jungle costumes, and musical numbers included “Math King Chant,” “The Math Skills of Life,” “No Homework,” “I Just Can’t Wait to be Math King” and “We’re Doing Our Math Tonight.” The audience joined in singing “Hakuna Mathtata,” and students enjoyed learning math concepts in a most musical way.
